Entering the murky water
Knowing not what lies beneath
Heart put reason for the slaughter
With smile crying for relief
Emanating love from soul
Forgiveness from the heart
The water’s darker than the coal
Paradox that makes it art
Looking down but all she sees
Is herself looking back
Smiling slightly and with ease
Heart’s prepared to crack
Epiphany filled with love
Allowing trust to live
Illuminating hidden hope
Lost so long in deep
Have been blind for whole three weeks, being with her and not you, Keeks
A while Claire thought that she had won
She fancied our marriage prime, so she came to force it die
Who’s the man, not worth a dime, who reacted but not in time
Well, you know I am the one
And next shot straight into your heart, I knew I should have spilled my gut
Vee with whom am I now done
Even though I refused gently, she had seduced me, contently
Who is he, who so intently loves his wife but falls constantly?
Well, you know I am the one
Knowing your love, my dear Kiki, resisted me acting geeky
Goddess of the dayspring Sun
Without you I had to learn the difference between dill and fern
Who’s the man that stands here spurned, your return is what he yearns
A man that knows now it’s your turn to give him back all that he earned
The acheronian flames may burn, his love but lives, as you discern
The broken man who offers none
We both know
I am the one
Victoria:
There is a conservative family coat,
Above flower with vulgar thought.
Father, son without Holy Ghost,
But protector on academic post.
Adventurous confidence hides simple face,
Pleasure verzus sorrow in funeral case.
The uncompromising winner of beauty contest,
But overly emptiness to lay in rest.
Finding some logic reason of taste bud,
Going deep, became about yourself nut.
Resistant body with fragile soul,
Trying to fill up the head hole.
Be intimate instead of have sex,
Create your own secret lex.
Don´t think, feel your experiences strong,
Some beauty and some wrong.
The anatomy lession:
Seemingly the body Works corectly right,
But under the skin is not everything straight.
We are going deeply to see the skeleton,
Peruse mistakes in construction.
Abutments fights inside the family,
What was together is no more a unity.
In broaked heart we see collapsed relationships,
Each organ has own shape of things.
Everybody lives in their individuality,
Not able to run with society.
Tear myself to your satisfation,
Trying to understand incredible action.
You are loosing, but I found my identity,
To grow you upi s beyond my authority.
Internal understandin, messages and atonemet,
Make me believe or could be a harmony monument.
Kiki:
My name is Kiki
and I love my husband,
it all became quite tricky
when he slept with our friend.
And the way how I found out,
I recognized in her face.
It was Claire- there is no doubt
she stole Howard without grace.
I trusted you, you had affair
then came with a condom home,
come on, Howard, this is not fair
go to hell and leave me alone!
I left everything for this marriage
now I can't remember why,
was it worthy, the whole courage,
when today I can't stop cry?
Talk to me in a normal way,
you are not at university.
I don’t know if I wanna stay,
when forgetting own identity.
I feel foreign in this white wave
but what I am afraid of most,
is to tell you- I don’t feel save
and I am already lost.
We talked about it to separate
but we share too many memories,
this idea isn't that great
we really cannot be enemies.
You ask if I stay with him or not
and what's the decision of mine,
‘Hendrickje bathing’ tells you a lot
you don’t need the answer from this rhyme.
Jacob Wrestling with the Angel:
You see two persons in fight
in opposition to each other,
for the 1st look you’re completely right
that they are having a struggle.
But check this out-
there is no hatred as such,
just one soundless shout-
“I still need you so much”
They fight and at the same time
they are hugging each other,
it’s not just a feeling of mine
this being a real loving snuggle.
One is black, the other white
together create one entity,
things are not just wrong or right
welcome to the life’s diversity.
Rembrandt helps us to understand
Kiki fighting with the known stranger,
when he painted with artistic hand
‘Jacob Wrestling with the Angel.’
Carlene:
Carlene Kipps Monty´s wife,
didn´t have the sweetest life.
Children Michael and her Vee,
painting hanging Erzulie.
Ideal housewife, wife and mother,
everyday working harder and harder.
Loving, caring and fully devoted,
though the couple became remoted.
But went on still living together,
whatever outside was the weather.
Seemingly were they an ideal pair,
Monty, though tended to play on her unfair.
Sooner would the wife very much care,
later got she used to occasional affair.
And as they just went on,
one day there rang the telephone.
Monty got a job in New England,
off went with him the whole Kipps´ band.
Carlene alike following, leaving good old London,
became she at once a part of Wellington.
Staying at home often, feeling very sad,
found Carlene in Kiki ,a devoted friend.
Talking and laughing, living their lives,
met they each other just several times.
This was though quite enough for one and the other,
despite so different, became shelters for each other.
Kiki watched the life leaking out of her friend,
but Carlene kept her illness secret until the very end.
Christmas came, home again, Carlene in her bedroom slept,
never again woke she up, suddenly was she dead.
Shocked and desperate were her loved ones,
didn´t know any of that,
only later all at once,
strong pills uncovered under her bed.
For Kiki only, leaving a note and more nothing,
dedicating to her a treasure.
Monty, Mike and Vee agreed she was crazy acting,
she did not know the measure.
Carlene resting now in peace,
leaving everyone consider or grieve.
all the things once will cease,
so the question now is “What for do we live?“
Erzulie:
Maitresse Erzulie Carlene in Haiti got,
now it would cost her money a lot.
Painted primitively as if by a kid,
though was it obviously a real Hyppolite.
Tall naked, black woman with beautiful a face,
standing in fantastical white a space.
Standing and wearing just a red bandanna,
though not eating a slightest piece of banana.
Surrounded by branches, flowers and fruits,
all around sprouting many of roots.
Four pink birds watching her but none of them would sing,
green parrot sitting there of a twig at the brink.
Three smaller humming birds getting no replies,
many of them there are- brown butterflies.
Kiki just standing there admiring it much,
not realizing yet they´re the same as such.
Black Virgin and as well the Venus Violent,
through all her suffery she remains silent.
Symbol of love, beauty and moon,
mystére of jealousy, vengeance and fortune.
Seeing this portrait holding it ideal,
not seeing her own beauty thought it was not real.
Suddenly all the sketches start to become so clear,
you can see them clearly now, there´s no more fear.
Four pink birds may now be Monty , Carlene, Vee and Claire,
the last two are those with whom Howard had affair.
Many brown butterflies as all the Haitians,
who struggled here to become real citizens.
Three smaller humming birds searching for moor,
what their names here might be- Jerome, Levi and Zoor.
And the parrot of the colour green,
as unfaithful Howard to us might seem.
So this is Erzulie, Venus or Kiki,
whichever you may choose, it´s really tricky.
My name is Levi Belsey
Born to be black was my dream,
academic roots want to be never seen.
But it was just at half well done,
I have to pretend to be another one.
Hiding up the roots I try,
and the negro style turn up high.
There is place where I feel good,
and it seems like a family mood.
It ain’t among my blood,
but in district – danger and blunt.
Only her love is the real true one,
but I broke it somehow time to time.
I got the heritage of her,
but not for me or even her.
To help the people who are poor,
I just think it would be cool.
Was not idea of myself,
‘cause I was influenced by someone else.
Listening to rap, the rhythm of mine,
My heart and I will never cry.
Hip hop style, limping feet,
you can’t see that? It’s just me.
They cannot catch its idea,
Tupac Shakur, oh my dear.
Zora:
I’m a girl, who lives in here,
In my teenage years I see
How important studies are.
Everyday I try to gain
Some new information
I want to be the best of them,
The best student in our nation.
I study at
It’s my university.
Howard also works in there,
And I know him very well.
“Howard“ is my father’s name,
He’s my ideal in this world,
Academic words he says
Are the best I’ve ever heard.
I’d like to me more like him,
Not like my mum Kiki.
She’s so simple, she’s not cool,
She’s no intellectual.
Student’s life is really nice,
Whenever to go to pubs.
Even though I like much fun,
The most important studies are.
Seated Nude:
Sitting on a chilly rock, eyeing at me directly,
Wishing to be loved, wishing to be seen.
Those widely open eyes, contacting those of mine,
Looking for the happiness, in this real life.
Nothing in the background, she’s so simply lonely,
Her naked body tired, life is really weird.
Her loose belly, tired arms, for the sake of lonely times,
There’s a hidden mystery; she says: try to listen me.
Although I’m not beautiful, my face still stays so faithful,
That the beauty I’ve inside is over anything around.
